Aggreko taps OTS to provide factory fuel and wetstock services
First phase completed on time
Oil Tank Supplies (OTS) of Moreton in Marsh Gloucestershire, has been appointed prime contractor for the provision of the fuel and wetstock services for a new factory in Dumbarton, Scotland. The project is part of a multi-million pound investment by Aggreko PLC, the UK’s leading supplier of temporary power generation and temperature control equipment.
Under the contract, OTS is responsible for the installation of storage tanks, distribution pipe-work and a stock control system, for the production line. The first phase of the contract has been completed on time. This involved the installation of six 30L litres storage tanks; two for gas oil, two for coolant and two for lubrication.
Work on the second phase has been authorised. This includes the distribution pipe-work connecting the storage tanks to ten workstations, where the finished generators are fuelled up and prepared for final test.
The fuelling point uses conventional diesel pumps and an electronic stock monitoring system. This will provide a complete record of all fuel drawn for re-order set points and cost accounting.
Aggreko power generators are used for sports arenas, industrial and emergency services, wherever temporary logistics facilities are required. Operating from headquarters in Glasgow, Aggreko is an FTSE 100 listed company with global organisation providing hire and engineering support services around the world.
