Does your haulage company need better visibility and control over its fuel stocks?

Managing fuel can be difficult at the best of times, but with rising costs and increasing threats of fuel theft, it has become stressful and uncertain. Find out why you should consider investing in an advanced and secure fuel storage and management system.

One of the fundamentals of any successful haulage company is the efficient and secure management of fuel. Investing in superior fuel storage and management systems will keep your business running smoothly whilst saving you time and money, allowing you to focus on what really matters.

Our fuel management systems for the haulage industry are comprised of an advanced fuel dispenser that offers 24-hour secure access to its fuel pumps, and a multi-function online server that operates in real time. Read on below to find out more about this two-part fuel management system and how it works.

The Fuel Island

A single terminal can manage up to four pumps, and haulage sites will typically monitor both diesel and AdBlue™. With the flexibility to have as many terminals as are required, our fuel management systems adjust to your needs.

To ensure the security of your fuel, all company vehicles are assigned a RFID tag, attached to the key ring, which will function as an ID. A similar identification system can also be issued for the drivers. This feature will minimise your chances of fuel theft as only recognised vehicle tags and driver ID’s will be granted access to the fuel pumps.

The Fuel Island Controller also helps you gain a better understanding of your company’s fuel use as with each fuel transaction details of which vehicle was fuelled and when, along with what type of fuel was taken and in what quantities, will be saved. If needed, the mileage at the time of fuelling and driver ID can also be obtained.

As an added security feature and to ensure complete stock management, a tank gauging system can be installed so that fuel deliveries can be confirmed and checked, thereby allowing for the detection of fuel theft.

The Online Server

All the data collected by the Fuel Island Controller will be instantly and automatically accessible through the online fuel server. This online management service can perform multiple beneficial functions, including setting product restrictions, stock alert warnings and mileage prompts.

Another commonly used and helpful feature of the online server are the vehicle reports which can be produced on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. These reports can include data relating to fuel transactions or vehicle fuel usage, for example.

The online server is a secure platform with access granted by a username and password system that can be easily managed by an administrator of your choosing.

Last but by no means least, this fuel storage and management system works in a flexible way, meaning it can adapt to the unique needs and operations of your business. For example, the system is compatible with other services, including Telematics vehicle tracking. Additionally, for sites with a lot of temporary vehicles, a ‘yard key’ can be issued as a temporary vehicle ID tag to allow fuel access.

This complete fuel management system offers you a smarter and more secure way to manage your fuel storage, saving you time and money. Help your business prosper, invest in one today.
