Focus on Oil Distribution Facilities

Oil Tank Supplies are attending the forthcoming Facilities Show 2013 in Harrogate, 17 & 18 April.

Visitors will be very welcome to visit our stand for some light refreshments and an update on our new product developments.

Our focus this year is on the oil distribution hubs which are an essential part of the UK’s national supply chain. Typically these comprise three large capacity tanks for diesel, gas oil and kerosene. The latter is used for heating in domestic and public utilities.

OTS is a recognised prime contractor taking full responsibility for decommissioning as well as design and build. Projects completed include Turriff Fuels of Aberdeenshire and Oil 4 Wales depots in Cardiff, Carmarthen and Lampeter, Ceredigion. New contracts currently in progress include a distribution depot for Halso Petroleum, Lichfield.

All of these installations use OTS TankStream web monitoring facilities. A new generation Fuel Control System has been installed at Lampeter to facilitate 24 hours operational capability. This features a touch screen display and printer allowing the driver to review tank stock status and obtain a printed record of the delivery transaction.
